LOL I can’t believe they’re actually doing Gloomy Bear on Revoltech. This is fantastic news though. I remembered first seeing this violent pink bear many years ago in plush form and I found it disturbingly cute and utterly hilarious. Gloomy Bear is the brainchild of Mori Chack. The story on Gloomy goes something like this:- Gloomy’s an abandoned little bear but is one day rescued by a blonde-haired dude which goes by the name of Pitty. Gloomy, the cute pink bear grew up to become violent since he’s a wild animal and attacks Pitty.

Heck, while we’re at it why not visit Paperkraft.net and download and create your very own 3d paper Gloomy! Now please excuse me while I go create some paper goodness.

Extra stress relief: Go to the official Gloomy Bear link I have above and click on the “Blog! or Home!!” banner on the upper right hand side of the page. Every click of the mouse will result in Gloomy jamming his knee onto poor Pitty’s face. LOL..strangely satisfying! *I think I might need to see a shrink*

Here’s a nice one from SDCC 09 if you’re a fan of Kaiyodo’s Revoltech line of ultra poseable action figures. Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura from Sengoku Basara will presumably be released sometime later in the year under Kaiyodo Revoltech’s Yamaguchi line.

This will be the start of a slew of SDCC 2009 and Wonderfest 2009 news I’ll be writing about hopefully in the next couple of days. There’re so much awesome stuff in the pipeline for us collectors I’m wondering how we’ll be able to pick and choose! To start this off, here’s one of my favorites. I’m a huge Bioshock fan, the first game was beyond awesome and I can’t wait for the sequel and this line of figures from Neca. Finally, a Big Daddy figure that doesn’t require paying a huge premium for!

Neca showed off 6 prototypes, Splicer, Little Sister, Big Sister, original Big Daddy from Bioshock, and 2 different versions of Big Daddy, with Rosie or Bouncer.

These figures should be released together with next year’s Bioshock 2 game and would most likely be priced somewhere along the $15 to $20 range.
