Whoaaa, check this out! Guess what I stumbled on while trolling Ebay? This awesome looking custom Batman - The Dark Knight Batpod! Whoever made this has got some serious talent (and time) on their hands. Judging from the pictures, it looks almost screen accurate.

This interpretation of Bruce Wayne’s favorite crime-busting transporter is equipped with a 650cc 4 stroke, water cooled engine with direct port nitrous injection! 0_0 And no Batpod would be complete without some grappling hooks, grenade launchers, and 50 caliber machine guns (shame they don’t work eh).

I wonder how much the seller is looking to get for it? It’s currently at $30k (yep, that’s 3 with fourbig ZEROES after it) and the reserve hasn’t been met! I’ll definitely be following this one closely, just to see how much the auction ends at since I haven’t got some spare $30-$50k lying around under my bed (it’s tmes like these I wish I was Bruce Wayne, but then again if I was Bruce I wouldn’t need to buy my Batpod from Ebay :)).

Haven’t done a review in what seemed like eons now, so I thought I’d do a quick report on one of my more exciting recent acquisitions. This is of course the Metroid Prime Samus Aran Resin Kit from Japanese garage kit maker Dimension Diver. This beautifully cast kit was a Wonder Festival 2009 Summer Event Exclusive and a hot one at that. It did cost me quite a fair bit of change to acquire but I’m really happy with it.

I like how the kit comes with individually colored-cast parts, so you could pretty much build it without having to lift a paintbrush (or airbrush). The kit is a little small for the price though, and IMHO it would’ve been perfect if it was done in a slightly larger scale. It comes with just a single sheet of printed instruction in color. The kit itself looks fairly straightforward to build though. I have yet to build it since I have a tonne of other kits sitting around so this’ll have to wait.

Since it was such a highly coveted kit, supplies of the kit has pretty much dried up even on the secondary market. My search on Yahoo! Japan came up with nothing, but ironically there’s one up for auction on eBay with 5 days to go. The price is already at $188, wonder how much it’ll finally sell for.

Just came across this life-size Fallout 3 Brotherhood of Steel statue on Ebay. It’s the same one that’s seen across select game stores when the game was released last year. It stands at approximately 7′ 10″ and weighs 120 lbs. Here’s hoping the person who actually ends up buying it has enough room to display this kick ass statue.

This is probably the wirdest post I’ve written since it’s not something that’s related to the stuff I usually write about, but then again it’s not everyday that we get to see a burial spot above Marilyn Monroe’s go up for sale on eBay.

Here is a once in a lifetime and into eternity opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe.  This crypt in the famous Westwood Cemetary in West Los Angeles currently occupied above Marilyn Monroe is being vacated so as to make room for a new resident. “Spending Eternity next to Marilyn Monroe is too sweet to pass up”, recently quoted by Hugh Heffner, who has reserved his place in eternity next to her.  The lucky bidder will be deeded a piece of real estate that he or she will make their last address. And below you will be Marilyn Monroe.  In fact the person occupying the address right now is looking face down on her.

The last time I checked, bidding was already up to $4,600,300.00 and there’s still 4 days left on the auction! I can think of many ways to spend a few million dollars if I had the means, but buying a burial spot above Marilyn Monroe isn’t quite one of them. Any guesses how much the final price would be?
