Whoaaa, check this out! Guess what I stumbled on while trolling Ebay? This awesome looking custom Batman - The Dark Knight Batpod! Whoever made this has got some serious talent (and time) on their hands. Judging from the pictures, it looks almost screen accurate.

This interpretation of Bruce Wayne’s favorite crime-busting transporter is equipped with a 650cc 4 stroke, water cooled engine with direct port nitrous injection! 0_0 And no Batpod would be complete without some grappling hooks, grenade launchers, and 50 caliber machine guns (shame they don’t work eh).

I wonder how much the seller is looking to get for it? It’s currently at $30k (yep, that’s 3 with fourbig ZEROES after it) and the reserve hasn’t been met! I’ll definitely be following this one closely, just to see how much the auction ends at since I haven’t got some spare $30-$50k lying around under my bed (it’s tmes like these I wish I was Bruce Wayne, but then again if I was Bruce I wouldn’t need to buy my Batpod from Ebay :)).

The limited edition Lexus LFA supercar has made its much anticipated debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. The LFA has set its sight at Nissan’s awesome GTR as well as Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini. When finally released, the LFA will be one of the most technologically advanced and complex cars utilising a naturally aspirated 4.8L high-revving V10 engine capable of delivering a thumping 560 hp and 480 Nm of torque. Performance from 0 - 62 mph is completed in a scant 3.7 seconds while maximum speed is 325 km/h (202 mph). Weighing in at just 1,480kg due to its use of advanced Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) for the chassis and bodywork, the LFA will have a power to weight ratio of 373bhp per tonne and a specific output of 115bhp per litre. These are indeed very impressive numbers, even for supercar standards.

Production of this hand-built beauty will be limited to just 500 units and the cars will be assembled at the Motomachi plant in Toyota City. Finally, the most important figure most people are dying to know…the cost. The LFA will carry a price tag of €375,000 ($550,000).

Is it just me or does anyone else think that for a $550,000 supercar, the design oughta look a little less like a souped-up Toyota Celica? It somehow doesn’t have a supercar look to it.

Guess what Larry Ellison, CEO and co-founder of Oracle Corporation and one of the richest people in the world is going to have in his garage alongside all his other exotics? The Kirkham Motorsports Ultimate Cobra Roadster of course! Kirkham Motorsports decidedly spent two and a half years to build this “ultimate roadster” based on Mr Ellison’s directive to build an ultimate roadster where cost is of no importance.

The result is this shiny one-off all-aluminum masterpiece. What’s more, the entire process from the design to the manufacturing process of parts and components was fully documented in a billet bound book which cost a cool $4500! This is the most expensive book I’ve ever heard of. Well, I’m sure there’re more expensive books out there, but I’ve pretty much only read comics all my life, so I wouldn’t know. :) Anyways, back to the book..it apparently required more than 35 pounds of aluminum plate and in excess of 30 hours of CNC mill time to produce each book! Whoa! That’s ALOT of aluminum for a book doncha think? Even all my kitchen utensils plus the kitchen sink wouldn’t weigh that much. For those who would like to check out the book but not quite willing to part with $4500 of hard-earned money, the book is available for download at Kirkham Motorsports’ page here.

Kudos to the people at Kirkham for creating the car (and the book maybe). I’d love to be able to see it in person as I’m sure it’s every bit as shiny as the pictures suggest. By the way, I think the garden pictures with the car were taken at Larry Ellison’s home since the garden at his home was apparently fashioned after Japanese architecture, and that garden looked pretty zen to me.

I’ve always admired the Pagani Zonda, so much so that I used it as a subject for one of my college projects way back in 2000 when the car newly made its debut. Back in 2000, I thought it had the most finely crafted interior and exterior I’ve ever seen on four wheels. Fast forward 9 years later, and I still think the Zonda is hands down the most achingly beautiful object to grace a tarmac.

The Pagani Zonda Cinque (pronounced chin-kway, which means 5 in Italian) as you’ve probably guessed by now will only have a limited run of 5 units. It will also have an astronomical £1.1-million price tag if you must know, but even if you did have the means, all 5 units have already been spoken for. Take a look at the video below and tell me if she isn’t one of the most beautiful objects you’ve seen.

The pictures above are of JB Car Design’s Lamborghini LP 640 JB-R. Includes the usual power upgrade, and a host of tacked-on carbon fiber pieces for the body kit. What do I think of the modifications? Well, the title says it all.

German tuning house AVUS Performance is joining the ranks of the band of tuners who’re trying to squeeze even more juice and personality out of the already awesome Nissan GT-R. AVUS has equipped their Nissan GT-R Black Edition with an upgraded ECU and exhaust to boost power to 580bhp and 700 Nm of torque. Not a bad upgrade, but not the kind of crazy-ass power upgrades that we’ve seen from other tuners either.

But what’s really nice about AVUS’ GT-R is the matte black body vinyl adhesive foil that they’ve put on the car. I think it’s got a nice smokey hue to it and gives the appearance of a newly airbrushed paintjob. Add to that a wicked set of tinted windows and you’ve got yourself a Yakuza-like bad boy machine.

AVUS PERFORMANCE-Nissan GTR – Batmobil Reloaded

The Nissan GT-R build as a sportscoupe and direct opponent of the Porsche Turbo was revealed at the Tokio Motor Show in 2007. As a direct successor of the Skyline GT-R R34 the bar has been laid high already. With only 480 examples for Europe the GT-R is one of those rare sports-cars.

For AVUS PERFORMANCE a Nissan GT-R Black Edition was the basis for a very ambitious project. Besides optical changes they also put the emphasis on more power. A new modified ECU and a special new exhaust pipe (2 cats and the middle silencer have been removed) help the GT-R up to an impressive 580bhp and 700 Nm of torque (stock 485bhp and 588Nm).

Visually you can only imagine the power the GT-R has. The matt black, the lowering via coilovers (stock adjustments for the dampers will be kept) and the black painted 20″ wheels combined with wheel spacers sum up the package. Individually painted parts like the front bumper, the rear diffusor, air vents, tinted windows can be seen when taking a close look.

The car manufacturer with the unmistakable three-pronged star on its badge has finally revealed its next generation Alpha car. We’re of course referring to Mercedes’ much-anticipated SLS AMG. The general consensus across the WWW seems to be positive in regards to the design of the car. I personally think it’s quite a sexy car, although nowhere near as jaw-droppingly gorgeous as the 300 SL Gullwing of yesteryear. Whether this design will stand the test of time is anybody’s guess. Unlike the 300 SL of the 50s though, this SLS AMG will most certainly come equipped with a bucketload of cutting edge technology.

“With the new SLS AMG, Mercedes-Benz is presenting a fascinating super sports car that will quicken the pulse of any car fan,” says Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler and boss of Mercedes-Benz.

“The SLS AMG bolsters both the Mercedes-Benz and AMG brands equally, and will surely become one of the most alluring sports cars of our time.”

As for the specs, front-mid mounted 6.3-litre AMG V8 churning out a staggering 420kW and 650Nm via a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox, aluminum space frame body coupled with aluminum double-wishbone suspension, 1620kg kerb weight, carbon ceramic brakes, an electronically limited top speed of 317km/h, 0-100km/h in 3.8seconds…nuff said.

Want one? Now all you have to do is pony up €177,310.

Porsche will be officially unveiling their no-holds-barred track-ready 911 GT3 RS at the Frankfurt Motor Show. As if the standard 911 GT3’s 435 HP isn’t enough, the crazy boys from Zuffenhausen managed to squeeze an extra 15 HP into this RS variant to bring power up to 450 HP thanks to a larger 3.8-liter flat-six engine.

The new 911 GT3 RS comes exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox optimized for short gearshift travel, low weight and high efficiency. To enhance the level of performance throughout the entire range of engine and road speed, the transmission comes with shorter ratios than found in the 911 GT3, deliberately conceding an even higher potential top track speed.Dynamic engine mounts are standard and serve to improve the car’s handling to an even higher level. Depending on driving conditions, the mounts change in their stiffness and damping effect, improving the connection between the engine and the body when driving under very lively conditions, yet allow for more comfortable conditions during everyday street use.

Porsche is also introducing another new option in 2010 for the GT3 RS, a lithium-ion battery. Delivered with the car and, when replacing the conventional lead-acid battery, it reduces the weight by more than 10 kg or 22 lb and is mainly intended for the track.

The 2010 911 GT3 RS goes on sale in the U.S. in early spring of 2010 and will be priced at $132,800.

And I’m really liking the color combination they have on the car. Head over to the official 911 GT3 RS page for more info as well as some great wallpapers to liven up that desktop of yours.

There was a Bentley GTZ Zagato listed on Craigslist!

The Bentley GTZ Zagato is built by coachbuilder Zagato who took a regular Bentley Continental GT Speed and wrapped it in a newly designed hand-shaped aluminum body. The GTZ featured more pronounced character lines and a revised rear end. This beauty is powered by a monstrous 6.0 litre W12 which develops 600hp (441kW) and 750Nm (553ft-lb) of torque, just the kind of car you’ll be needing on your daily city commute. :)

Now take a deep breath and hold for the price of this masterpiece: $1.3 million.

Better start saving!
